Women’s Defense Class

This 2-day class is meant to be a holistic approach specifically designed for women wishing to have more control and remain safer in today’s environment. Through a combination of classroom, firing range, and practical unarmed exercise’s, women will explore common sense tactics that allow them to be stronger on a day to day basis. The classroom portion will include discussion on the 5 arenas of combat, situational awareness, public versus personal space, dynamics of movement, and suggestions for everyday habits that can increase safety. On the range, students will learn the nomenclature and function of their handgun as well as how to safely load, unload, reload, and present the pistol culminating in being able to carry, draw, and fire, the pistol confidently. The class will conclude with practical unarmed skills that help students understand the dynamics of size versus movement as well as learning some possible responses to common situations. Most of all this class strives to change the mindset of the student to one that is proactive in watching and responding to the world around them.
