Prerequisite: Foundational Carbine
This 2-day course is the conclusion to the carbine skills mastery courses offered at Badlands. It focuses on advanced carbine manipulation skills, and introduces tactical strategies gained by using the carbine to support one’s movement. In this course the student can expect to be exposed to new and potentially unorthodox manipulation and utilization strategies for the carbine. Students should expect to be very active in this course as they will be moving, alternating positions and demonstrating dynamic utilization of their weapon systems.
Tuition
$400 Per Student
As with all BadLands Tactical courses, students may utilize our lodging here at the Village at no extra cost. The Village offers 2-man rooms, each with a half bath, shower facilities, along with a commercial size kitchen. Students are responsible for providing their own meals.
Equipment Required
- Quality carbine (*Note—quality means that the weapon is reliable and will function as expected. Please don’t bring a carbine that you haven’t function checked. Instructors will no longer spend large amounts of time fixing students’ weapons. The M4 variant is the preferred weapon platform, but Ruger, IWI, AK, M14 and similar variants are also viable weapon systems)
- Sling system capable of securing the carbine, muzzle down, across the center of the students’ body
- At least 3 magazines (more is better)
- 1000 rounds of quality ammunition
- Eye and ear protection
- Knee and elbow pads
- Range clothing (hat, sunscreen, bug spray)
- Magazine loader / unloader (Maglula) *recommended, not required
