Unknown Distance Target Engagements
This 2-day course is designed to instruct individual students in the basic fundamentals of engaging unknown distance targets. THIS IS NOT A TEAM COURSE. Initial range estimation will be by utilizing the scope reticle. Students may utilize a laser range finder to verify targets range after the completion of the course of fire. Students will be challenged on determining the range and wind effects on several different ranges. Students will have a half day of classroom to refresh on the fundamentals of marksmanship, mirage reading, wind classifications, range estimation and wind formulas. Students will be allowed to obtain zero out to 1000 yards before engaging over 50 unknown distance targets.
Tuition
$350 Per Student
As with all BadLands Tactical courses, students may utilize our lodging here at the Village at no extra cost. The Village offers 2-man rooms, each with a half bath, shower facilities, along with a commercial size kitchen. Students are responsible for providing their own meals.

- Scoped rifle with bipod and sling
- Eye and Ear protection
- Shooting mat
- Binoculars
- 200 rounds of ammunition
- Laser Range Finder (Optional)
- Wet/Cold weather gear
Objectives
Upon completion of this class the student will have an understanding of:
- Understand how nature of light affects target detection
- Be more proficient in the fundamentals of marksmanship in a field environment
- Be more proficient in their individual capability to read wind and make shot corrections without the aid of a spotter
